Dana's work has been featured in The New Yorker, USA TodayThe New York Times, CNBC and ABC News. Her first book, Adventures of Muse The Music Maven, was #1 on Amazon in Children's Musical Books. The story is based on Dana's upbringing as a violinist in the Charleston Youth Symphony. Her passion for music began in the Charleston Youth Symphony from ages 9 to 18. She went on to receive her Bachelor's degree in Integrated Marketing Communication from Winthrop University.

Dana has created in-store, runway and web music experiences for iconic brands including Gucci, Nike, Four Seasons, Valentino, Diane Von Furstenberg and Lexus. Dana was also quoted in the New York Times Best-Selling book by Lenard "Charlamagne" McKelvey entitled Black Privilege: Opportunity Comes to Those Who Create It. 

 

Dana has curated and hosted conversations with thought-leaders including Nikki Giovanni, Alicia Garza, Devi Brown, Komal Ahmad and more. Her last music project, DANESTRUMENTALS, was licensed to W Hotels, Tory Burch, Macy's, Kiehl's, Hilton, Westin and St. Regis Hotels and plays in locations worldwide. In addition to music and marketing, Dana produces and promotes concerts, tours and festivals with the Music Maven Agency team. Previous artists she has produced and promoted shows for include Pharrell, Herbie Hancock, George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic, Erykah Badu, Rage Against the Machine, Questlove of The Roots, Cee-Lo, J-Boogie, Pete Rock, DJ Spinderella of Salt-N-Pepa, Sara Bareilles, De La Soul, Dwele, Goapele and SHAED.

 

Dana co-produced the Museum of Pop Culture (MoPOP's) Founder's Awards in Seattle, WA honoring Brandi Carlile and featuring Dave Matthews, Tanya Tucker, The Indigo Girls, Beth Ditto, Ruby Amanfu and Mike McCready from Pearl Jam, raising millions for student art programs. She actively volunteers with senior citizens and mentors at-risk teens. Dana has taught music courses to middle and high school students. And, she supports and consults non-profit organizations around the globe.

 

When Dana is not marketing or producing, she DJ's under the name Mahogany Dane. She has performed at Austin City Limits and SXSW Music Festival events for over a decade and countless corporate events, weddings, and was The Official Livestrong Marathon DJ.
